Peace March, March 15, 2008

 

The Mt. Dia blo Peace and Justice Center, the Lamorinda Peace and Justice Group and Grandparents for Peace will host a march and rally marking the fifth anniversary of the U.S. war on Iraq. A SURGE FOR PEACE is the message of this year’s march and rally to end the war in Iraq . The goal is to press our government representatives and presidential candidates to go beyond vague and non-committal discussion and to do much more to bring home our troops and to cut off the money for war. The emcee for this event will be John Scott , Program Director for Green 960 AM. The Shell Ridge Ramblers will lead off speakers and other entertainment.
Where: 11:00 AM gathering at Walnut Creek BART and then march to Civic Park at Civic and Broadway in Walnut Creek for a rally at 12:00 Noon.
